The importance of Compliance:

Ingoing and outgoing inspections are a PPRA requirement that falls part of your leases compliance. The PPRA requires that all ingoing and outgoing inspections are signed off by both the tenant and the landlord. Without the tenant and landlord signatures, your inspections are non-compliant, which means that your lease is non-complaint.

Your three compliance indicators are as follows:

  1. The required FICA documentation
  2. Singed, initialed and dated Lease
  3. Signed ingoing and outgoing inspections for the lease duration

Should your agency be selected for random or planned inspection, and you have not met the above compliance indicators, your agency is opened to being fined tens of thousands of Rands.
